U.S. stocks struggles to push further as tax bill nears approval

U.S. stocks inched slightly higher on Wednesday after the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives passed a historic $1.5-trillion tax bill.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up 0.38 percent, to 24,848.44.

The S&P 500 advanced 0.340485 percent, to 2,690.6.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.39 percent, to 6,990.82.

Tax bill includes a decline in the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%. It would be the first Donald Trump’s significant legislative victory.
