U.S. Treasury intends to achieve 3 percent GDP growth

The U.S. Treasury intends to raise the growth of the U.S. economy almost twofold - from 1.8% to 3%. About this, the U.S. Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to Mnuchin, economic growth is number one priority of Trump's administration. Whatever problems arise in U.S., growth aids solve many of those problems. Under different growth scenarios, there might be a $2 trillion difference in incomes, the Secretary said.

Mnuchin stressed that the U.S. Treasury will support measures to raise economic growth, that do not increase the budget deficit. According to him, the 3 percent GDP growth could be provide by the following elements of public policy: tax reform, easing of regulations, investment in infrastructure.
