UK construction activity falls in July

Growth in Britain's building works slumped to an 11-month low in July, according to the latest PMI survey.

The Purchasing Managers’ Index dropped to 51.9 from 54.8 in June, below all expectations in a Reuters poll of economists that had forecast to a reading of 54.5.

The figures are another mixed signal for Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee which will make a decision on further monetary policy this week.
