UK households feel better as inflation softens

UK families are more upbeat about their earnings in July in view of decreased weigh of inflation and risen wages, however this is expected to dramatically reverse in case the BoE lifts interest rates in the coming month.

IHS Markit’s Household Finance Index indicates growth this month to 44.6, which becomes the top but one mark since the end of 2016, also one point higher compared to June.

Despite the acceleration of the country’s economy through the year, the IMF’s data of the previous week suggests that expansion in 2018 will anyway remain the worst since 2012.
