UK petrol prices could rise due to Hurricane Harvey

UK petrol costs could jump to highest level since December 2014 because of storm Harvey in the U.S., the Petrol Retailers’ Association has warned.

The average price of unleaded petrol could rise by up to 4p, above 121p per litre.

Disruption caused by Harvey have led to the shutdown of U.S. oil refineries on the Gulf Coast, leading to a rise in demand for imported petrol.
