UK PM Theresa May calls for early parliamentary elections in Britain

British Prime Minister Theresa May has called on Tuesday a snap general election for June 8, looking for a stronger mandate in negotiations over departure form the European Union.

According to May, early elections will strengthen the unity in the government in the conditions of Britain's withdrawal from the European Union. The Prime Minister stressed that the departure from the EU is an unchanging goal for the conservatives.

On Wednesday, the bill will be submitted to the parliament, for its adoption it is necessary the support of two-thirds of MPs.
