UK retail sales growth slows to its lowest in four years

British retail sales dropped 0.8 percent in September, far more than it was expected, according to data from the Office for National Statistics.

Slowdown in annual growth at 1,5% rate is the worst performance in almost four years.

UK retail industry has been dragged down this year by the weaker pound and rising inflation.
