UK retail sales rise more than forecast in October

UK retail sales increased 0.3% in October compared to the previous month's 0.7 percent fall, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

In annual terms, sales fell 0.3 percent - the largest drop since March 2013.

The fresh inflation data showed prices growing at an annual rate of 3 percent. The ONS said food prices had increased by 3.5 percent and general retail prices by 3.1 percent.
