Google is anew at the top of the list among the UK companies as best place for work, while back in 2015 it slipped from the first position.
Regularly taking the leading places in the list of the UK’s best 50 workplaces, the company vies for the top spot with strong competitors including Salesforce (took 5th place) or Apple (9th place in the list).
This company rating has been generated using employee reviews from Glassdoor website from last November to this October, a special private algorithm makes a score out of five per a company. The analysis is carried out only for the firms with the staff of 1,000 people or more.
The best company of 2016 – Expedia, ended up at 14th position this year, scoring 4.3. The company has taken places among the 50 best for 4 years in a row, just like some others like Unilever (taking 42nd position), PwC (number 50) or Hiscox (8th position).
And though the list is populated by many global giants like Apple or Facebook, some companies are not so well known, for example Bromford, provider of housing support services, or Lookers, a car dealer, which found their way to the best 10 in the list. The four companies mentioned had scores of 4.3 or higher.
