British FCA has announced it is going to weigh possible banning of virtual currency-based derivative sales, according to yesterday’s information from the Financial Times.
Activities pertaining to cryptocurrencies as trading or consulting on this kind of derivatives, for instance CFDs or options need to get permission from the FCA.
The report says that according to yesterday’s statement the regulator plans to initiate a discussion in the first three months of next year to decide on whether to prohibit such sales.
