United Technologies to acquire avionics maker Rockwell Collins for $30 billion

One of the largest financial and industrial U.S. companies United Technologies Corp. (UTC) has agreed to buy the airplane parts maker Rockwell Collins for $23 billion.

United Technologies will pay $140 a share in cash and stock.

The company will focus on developing technologically advanced aerospace systems.
