Saxo Bank Launches Partnership With UC And CBS
Saxo Bank has launched a financial and IT educational partnership with the UC (University of Copenhagen) and CBS (Copenhagen Business School). The reason being that companies in the financial sector are increasingly on the lookout for IT graduates with knowledge of financial disciplines. And our case study showed great potential.
CFIR Asked Us To Make A Case Study
In recent years CFIR (Copenhagen Finance IT Region) spotted the growing trend. It prompted CFIR to cooperate with the UC (University of Copenhagen), CBS (Copenhagen Business School) and Saxo Bank in order to make a case study intended to promote growth and innovation in the financial sector and IT.
As part of the case study, a group of students interned at Saxo Bank for three months. Saxo Bank’s Head of Group Business Analysts, Christian Villumsen, said, “I anticipated that a huge amount of coordination work would be needed to manage the students, but everything went really well, and it was a pleasure having the students contribute to the work of the Bank”.
A Rewarding Initiative For All Involved
During their internships at Saxo Bank students from both the IT and financial disciplines got to produce their projects in a highly professional working environment. And the outcome was some very interesting final projects. The final research results were extremely valuable for resolving complex challenges encountered by the Bank in its work.
So, for all involved it has turned out to be a very rewarding initiative. And the next internship program is slated for February 2014.
Best of luck to the selected interns!
