Price Wars in the Grocery Market Resume in the UK

As the UK’s price wars in the retail, grocery, industry resume and grow bigger throughout time, one of the biggest chains, J Sainsbury Plc reported a sixth consecutive declination in its quarterly same-store turnover.

Today, J Sainsbury Plc, the London based grocer, met economists’ and analysts’ forecasts, with its stores revenues that are currently operational for a period of  at least one year,  twelve weeks till June 6, having recorded a declination of 2.1%.

Therefore, the current grocery matter clearly indicates that the biggest supermarkets in the UK are finding it extremely difficult to tackle and compete with the drop in the food prices and the discount retailers.

Moreover, Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc price cuts this week, illustrates once again that the industry will continue to be under such price war pressures.
