    US stocks end the week sharply lower as anxiety grows ahead of Brexit vote Ani Salama

    US stocks fell on Friday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite posting their largest weekly drops since April, as anxiety ahead of the Brexit vote next week has kept risk aversion at high levels, weighing on stocks around the globe.The Dow industrials fell 58.96 points, or 0.33%, to 17,674.14 and 1.07% lower over the week. The S&P 500 lost 6.78 points, or 0.33%, to 2,071.21. It was down 1.19% over the week, closing the worst week in 4 months. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 44.58 points, or 0.92%, to 4,800.34, posting a 1.92% weekly drop.
