There are 2 important events during the US session that may have an impact on the financial markets:
- Initial Jobless Claims - The NFP report shocked the market with the weakest headline since 2010. However, other indicators still point to a healthy a stable labour market. Janet Yellen suggested in her speech that low Initial Jobless Claims supports her view on the labour market, but if today’s data brings a nasty surprise then a picture for the USD may turn bad quickly.
- Poloz (BOC) speech: Higher oil prices supported the CAD earlier this week and another bullish sign may come from the Bank of Canada Governor. The BOC suggested that it is comfrotable with current level of interest rate, but recent developments may lead to a more hawkish view.
