- ECB president Mario Draghi speaks later this afternoon but is unlikely to give any new signals. Central banks and investors across the board are in a wait-and-see mode awaiting the result of the UK Brexit vote on Thursday next week.
- In the US housing starts and building permits are due this afternoon. While home sales have picked up in the past months, housing starts have moved broadly sideways
- Inflation data from Canada is scheduled for release. Month over month core CPI has been forecasted to rise 0.3% with a prior reading of 0.2% in April, and 0.7% in March. CPI is expected to rise 0.5% versus a prior 0.3% in April and 0.6% in March.
