Canada's Ivey PMI Falls to Three-Month Low in June

TORONTO, July 7 (Reuters) - Canadian economic activity expanded at ​a slower pace in ‌June as measures of employment and prices fell, Ivey Purchasing ​Managers Index (PMI) data showed ​on Tuesday.

The seasonally adjusted index ⁠declined to 56.2 from ​58.2 in May, marking its ​lowest level since March.

  • The Ivey PMI measures the month to month ​variation in economic activity ​as indicated by a panel of ‌purchasing ⁠managers from across Canada. A reading above 50 indicates an increase in activity.

  • The ​gauge of ​employment ⁠dipped to an adjusted 53.6 from 54.3 ​in May.

  • The adjusted prices ​index ⁠was at 73.7, down from 78.0.

  • The unadjusted PMI edged ⁠lower ​to 59.7 from ​61.3 in May.
