Spain's 12-mth EU-Harmonised Inflation Unchanged at 2.2% in Apr

May 14 (Reuters) - Spain's European Union-harmonised 12-month inflation rate remained at 2.2% in April from the period through March, final data released by the National Statistics Institute, or INE, showed on Wednesday.

The INE's final data confirmed the flash reading of 12-month European Union-harmonised inflation rate released two weeks ago and the average estimate from analysts polled by Reuters.

Core inflation, which strips out volatile fresh food and energy prices, rose to 2.4% in the 12 months through April, from 2.0% in the period through March. It was in line with the flash reading reported two weeks ago, INE said.

Spain's 12-month national consumer prices rose 2.2% in the 12 months through April, down from 2.3% in the period through March, confirming preliminary data and in-line with analysts estimates.
