UK House Prices Rise by Least since September 2024 in January

LONDON, March 25 (Reuters) - British house prices rose at ​the slowest pace since ‌September 2024 in the year to January, official ​figures showed on Wednesday, ​while the pace of ⁠increase in rents ​was unchanged.

The annual rate of ​house price inflation slowed to 1.3% in January from ​1.9% in December ​2025, taking the average house price ‌in ⁠the United Kingdom to 268,000 pounds ($359,000), the Office for National Statistics ​said.

Private-sector ​rents ⁠in February were 3.5% higher than ​a year earlier, ​unchanged ⁠from January's rate of increase and the joint-smallest ⁠rise ​since March ​2022.
