Wizz Air Trims Range on Full-Year Earnings Guidance

LONDON, April 25 (Reuters) - Wizz Air's slightly lowered net income guidance for its financial year to March 31 in a trading update on Thursday.

The budget airline said earnings were in line with new guidance of between 350 million euros ($375 million) and 370 million euros, having previously guided in a range of 250 million to 400 million euros.

Full-year revenue was expected in the range of 5 million to 5.1 million euros, also in line with expectations.

Wizz Air shares rose 5.5% in early trade.

A statement from Chief Executive Jozsef Varadi said the carrier benefited from sustained demand as it negotiated challenges including geopolitical unrest, an engine recall and air traffic control disruption.

The company is due to report full-year results on May 23.
