UK House Prices Rose by 3.8% in Year to April, ONS says

LONDON, June 17 (Reuters) - British house prices rose by 3.8% ​in the year ‌to April, after showing no growth in the ​year to ​March, the Office for National ⁠Statistics said on ​Wednesday.

The ONS said ​this marked the biggest annual rise in house prices ​since March 2025, ​before Stamp Duty Land Tax ‌changes ⁠that came into force in April 2025.

Average UK monthly private ​rents ​increased ⁠by 3.3% in the year to ​May, compared with 3.5% the ​12 ⁠months to April, the ONS said, marking the ⁠smallest ​rise since ​March 2022.
